SQL Database Compare

Using the SQL Database Compare application you can compare two databases for missing structures or other differences.

Please notice that this is only a beta version. I can't say if or when the application will be ready and be called a full release. It depends on, if I need the application to be finished. But I though that may you could use it before it was ready. :)

Click here to download the Database Compare Application.

In the left side you select your source database and in the right side you select your destination (or target) database.

After you have selected your two databases to compare, the application will start analysing the databases. This is how it shows the differences:

dtproperties < Table is missing on destination
Shippers < Tables does exist, but contains differences. Expand to see the differences.

In the same way as the tables are shown, you can also compare you stored procedures. Black text and red background means that the stored procedure is missing on the destination. Red text on normal background means that the stored procedure contains differences.
